This Is How The NEET-2026 Paper Leak Came To Light, Teacher Who First Filed Complaint Said…

| Updated: May 14, 2026 08:39

The NEET UG paper leak has created an uproar in the education system. The probe has been started by the authorities, and along with that, the examination conducted on May 3 was canceled. But who was the first person who noticed this misconduct and filed a complaint? How did the news of the paper leak come to light? Well, there is a story behind it.

After the NEET (UG) 2026 exam ended on May 3, a teacher from a well-known coaching centre in Sikar, Rajasthan, found something suspicious.

That evening, his landlord gave him a handwritten guess paper that had come from the landlord’s son in Kerala. When the teacher checked it carefully, it was shockingly identical to the paper that had concluded just a few hours earlier. The teacher noticed that many questions matched the actual NEET exam questions.

Learning that this could create a major uproar if the paper had actually leaked, the teacher approached the Udyog Nagar police station the next day to report the issue. As per the police, they asked him to submit a written complaint, but he left without doing so. The teacher was reportedly unsure and worried about how serious the matter was.

Over the next few days, he thought about what to do. He even approached journalists, but the matter did not get much attention at first.

Later, with support from the coaching centre owner, he decided to officially lodge a complaint with the National Testing Agency. As reported in the media, on May 7, he sent a complaint stating that he had a 60-page handwritten PDF containing chemistry and biology questions that matched the actual exam.

In his complaint, he also said he was ready to hand over his mobile phone for forensic investigation and requested an independent inquiry. After the initial check, the police found that the teacher was not involved in any paper leak, as he had received the paper only after the examination ended.

But his complaint became the starting point of the investigation. The NTA informed the central agencies about the issue, and later the investigation was started by the Rajasthan Special Operations Group, after which the case was handed over to the CBI.
