Mehul Choksi, Rishi Aggarwal Getting Free Revadi – Varun Gandhi Hits Back At Centre

| Updated: August 7, 2022 13:13

Pilibhit MP Varun Gandhi made a scathing remark against his own party after Bharatiya Janata Party leader MP Nishikant Dubey said that the Narendra Modi-led government must be thanked for providing rations to the poor during times of need. Gandhi said it is unfair if the Centre, which has written off Rs10 lakh crore worth of loans, expects a ‘thanks’ for providing 5 kg of ration to the poor.
Gandhi took to Twitter and said, “The house which expects a ‘thank you’ for giving 5 kg ration to the poor, tells that in 5 years the loan of corrupt money up to 10 lakh crore have been waived. Mehul Choksi and Rishi Aggarwal’s names are on top among those who take ‘Free Ki Revadi’. Who has the first right on the government treasury?”

Gandhi’s comments come after BJP MP Nishikant Dubey said in Lok Sabha that PM Modi’s government must be congratulated for providing free ration to 80 crore people.

This is not the first time that Varun Gandhi has criticised his own party’s government. Earlier, he has been vocal about his dissatisfaction with several issues. He hit back at BJP’s state government in Uttar Pradesh for exam paper leaks for government posts. He also criticised the government’s decision to withdraw railway concessions for the elderly and also the Agnipath scheme.
