Neetu Kapoor Saw A Psychiatrist To Cope With Rishi Kapoor’s Death

| Updated: May 24, 2022 16:10

After Rishi Kapoor’s death, Neetu Kapoor revealed she saw a psychiatrist. Between her and her late husband, the actor confessed that she was the stronger one.

Actress Neetu Kapoor has confessed that she was “always the stronger one” in her marriage to late actor Rishi Kapoor. In a new interview, Neetu claimed that whenever something happened in their lives before, it was always her who would offer Rishi Kapoor strength. Neetu also admitted to seeing a psychiatrist after Rishi died. She did, however, say that she quit going after realising that her doctor was urging her to do things she already understood.

Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30, 2020, following a two-year battle with illness. He was 67 years old. Besharam, a 2013 action comedy, was Neetu’s most recent film. Her son, actor Ranbir Kapoor, and Rishi appeared in the film. Her next appearance will be in Dharma Productions’ JugJugg Jeeyo. Neetu has appeared on various reality series since Rishi’s death.

She stated that you know, life toughens you up. When you have ups and downs. And when we’re going through a hard patch, we think it’s the end of the world. But she believes that now is the perfect time since God is strengthening you to deal with whatever comes your way. She’s been through a lot in my life, and perhaps that’s what’s made her strong enough to deal with any scenario. She was more powerful than my husband. If something were to happen in their lives, she would offer him that strength. She was always the more powerful one.

Neetu offered the following advice to other ladies going through a difficult time: “Whatever your feelings are, whatever your problem is, you must act. Consult a psychiatrist if you are experiencing mental health issues. I saw a psychiatrist. I used to consult a doctor when my husband passed away, but then I told myself, ‘I am stronger than what the doctor says.’ When the doctor told me to do things I already understood, I wondered to myself, ‘Why am I not doing these myself?’ So I stopped going to the doctor and dealt with my ‘missing him’ and ‘feeling low’ thoughts within myself, building myself up.”

Raj Mehta’s JugJugg Jeeyo also stars Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Maniesh Paul, and Prajakta Kohli. Anil plays Neetu’s spouse in the film. The film is set to be released on June 24.
