Gujarat: NRI Couple’s Bungalow Burgled In Ahmedabad; Valuables Worth Rs 1.30 Lakh Missing

A bungalow belonging to an NRI couple in Garden Enclave Society, near Tambu Police Station, Law garden, was robbed today morning in which the couple ended up losing valuables worth Rs 1.30 lakh.

The caretaker, Kartikeya Vyas, resident of Sharda Society in Paldi, filed the complaint. The bungalow belongs to Kartikeya’s elder brother Himanshuraay Vyas.

On January 1, Kartikeya went to the bungalow with his domestic help, Amrat Panchal, to get it cleaned and later they had locked the house. On Saturday Amrat called Kartikeya to inform them that the lock was broken. Kartikeya rushed to the house only to find the house in a total mess.

He immediately informed the police that Rs 30,000 cash, 10 silver coins worth Rs 10,000, two bangles worth Rs 5000, a gold ring worth Rs 20,000 and a platinum chain worth Rs 60,000 were stolen.

A case has been registered with the Navrangpura police of burglary and the investigation in underway.
