Gujarat DGP Ashish Bhatia on Saturday held a Press Conference to inform about the action plan of the Gujarat Police in enforcing night curfew, and rules relating to mask and social distancing as the state has been registering cases over 20,000 for the past few days.
Gujarat DGP informed the press that in the past one week Gujarat Police has collected Rs. 97,903 in fines from mask rule violators and as many as 3830 FIRs have been filed for violations relating to the mass gathering.
Moreover, Gujarat police have detained 381 vehicles for violating night curfew rules.
He informed the press that rule violators will be punished severely.
Gujarat has registered 21,225 covid cases and 16 deaths in the last 24 hours.
