The Pakistan cricket board recently appointed a new chairman, Ramiz Raza. Within the first few days of taking charge of the office, he announced that they are hoping to launch a women’s version of the Pakistan Super League Twenty20 tournament soon.
In a video posted on Twitter, he also announced that the board plans to launch an Under-19 men’s edition of the PSL by October next year.
“I also have the women’s PSL in my mind. We’ll become the first cricket board in Asia to launch that,” said Raza.
The Pakistan cricket board launched the PSL in 2016. The competition featured six men’s teams from six different cities across the country.
