The income tax department in Kannauj, Noida in a search of more than 40 premises, mostly perfume manufacturers regarding allegations on tax evasion, has raided two perfume traders including Samajwadi Party MLC Pushpraj Jain alias Pampi Jain – who launched Samajwadi Perfume early on Friday morning.
He is the one of the members of the legislative council from the Samajwadi Party in UP. He launched the Samjwadi Ittra in the previous month and is accused in the case of crores of tax evasion. Raids were conducted at another perfume trader, Mohammad Yaqub. The Samajwadi Party also accused BJP of misusing central agencies in tweet on its official twitter handle.
Akhilesh Yadav to hold a press conference in Kannauj today. The searches were carried out at the premises of Jain in Kannauj, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai and Agra. His factory on Siktra road in Hathras has also been raided. He was in the news since Piyush Jain’s house was raided in Kannauj and Kanpur. Pushpraj’s perfume business is spread across the gulf countries as well.
