Pharma Stocks Gain,Market Ends Marginally Lower At 90 Points

The stock market ended marginally lower on Thursday. The market witnessed 1979 shares ending in green and 1309 shares which declined.  

The market closed at 57,806.49 down 0.16 percent. The NSE closed at 17,213.60  down 0.11 percent.

Bajaj Auto Ltd gained 2.70 percent on the news of the company starting a separate Rs 300 crore Electric Vehicle unit in Pune.

Pharma stocks continued positive momentum after getting DGCI clearance for Covid Medicine Molnupiravir. As many as 100 countries will benefit from this medicine. Dr. Reddy’s, Aurobindo Pharma, Torrent Pharma performed well.

Sun Pharma and Cipla’s agreement saw their shares rise 2.86 percent and 0.20 percent respectively.

Shares of Multiplexes like PVR and INOX declined amid rising Omicron cases and measures by the Delhi Government after the announcement of yellow alert measures.

The market saw Shiva Mills, Advait Infratech, HB Stockholding, CIL Securities and Swati Vinayak hitting 52 week high. While Indian Acrylics, NACL Industries, Anjani Finance, AA Plus Tradelink Ltd, Sharda Motor, Gujarat Natural gained over 10 percent.
