PM Modi Enters UP Election As Battle Heats up

| Updated: January 31, 2022 13:19

Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh election, PM Modi has finally entered the battlefield. PM Modi is going to hold a virtual rally on 31st January as the Election Commission Of India (ECI) has banned physical rallies due to Covid-19.

The Prime Minister’s virtual rally in the poll-bound state will cover the districts of Shamli, Muzzafarnagar, Baghpat, Saharanpur, Gautambuddh Nagar (Dadri/Jewar), and 21 Vidhan sabha seats. This comes after Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a rally in Muzzafarnagar on Saturday.

The BJP, which has a massive digital footprint, will use all its social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube to reach the masses across these 21 Assembly constituencies. There will also be LED screens and campaign vans that will be dispatched to these locations for people to listen to the Prime Minister’s address. The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) plans to reach at least 10 lakh people across this 21 constituency.

Uttar Pradesh goes to poll in 7 phases, with the first phase on 10th February and the last phase on March 7. The result will be declared on 10th March.
