PM Modi Urges People To Watch Swaraj Series On Doordarshan; Key Highlights Of 92nd Mann Ki Baat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 92nd edition of his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat on Sunday, where he said the spirit of Amrit Mahotsav was flowing in every village of India. He also urged everyone to join the campaign against fighting malnutrition in the country.

Amrit Mahotsav

“Amrit Dhara’ of ‘Amrit Mahotsav’ is flowing in all corners of the country in this month of independence,” said PM Modi. “In August, all your letters, messages & cards have soaked my office in the hues of the tricolour. I have hardly come across any letter which does not carry the tricolour or does not talk about the tricolour and freedom. Construction of Amrit Sarovar has also become a mass movement,” he added.

Swaraj on Doordarshan

PM Modi urged everyone to watch the Swaraj, which recently premiered on Doordarshan. He said, “The programme highlights the contributions of our freedom fighters.”

National Sports Day

PM Modi continued on Mann Ki Baat which started n 2014, “Tomorrow on the 29th of August, National Sports Day will be celebrated on the birth anniversary of Major Dhyanchand Ji. I hope our young sportspersons continue to raise the glory of our tricolour on global forums, this will be our tribute to him.”

Nutrition Month

“The month of September has dedicated to festivals as well as a big campaign related to nutrition. We celebrate the Poshan Maah (nutrition month) every year from September 1-September 30. Today, many creative and diverse efforts are being made all over the country to prevent malnutrition,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated.

PM Modi also requested the nation to take part in the efforts to eradicate malnutrition. He said, “Moreover, efforts for social awareness play an important role in tackling the challenges of malnutrition. A Poshan tracker has also been launched to monitor the accessibility of Anganwadi services.”

Importance Of Millets

Talking about the importance and benefits of Indian millets, Pm Modi said, “Millets are filled with protein and fibre and therefore are today being categorised as a superfood. Some people are today making millet energy bars and having millets in breakfast.”

“Along with focusing on research and innovation related to this, efforts are being made to increase their production,” asserted PM Narendra Modi.

At last, he also talked about the importance of digital India and its entrepreneurs.
