The younger brother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Prahlad Modi, was involved in a minor car accident near Mysuru in Karnataka on December 27.

In an SUV, Prahlad was travelling to Bandipura, a town close to Mysuru, with his wife, son, and daughter-in-law. The car was involved in an accident while travelling close to the suburb of Kadakola. After the incident, they were brought to a nearby private hospital.

Seema Latkar, the superintendent of police for the Mysuru District, went to the hospital where they were all receiving treatment for minor wounds. Notably, Prahlad had held the position of vice president of the 2001-founded All India Fair Price Shop Dealers’ Federation (AIFPSDF).

He has been bringing up the problems experienced by the fair-pricing store vendors through the Public Distribution System (PDS) network.
