| Updated: December 28, 2022 12:49

In order to support young people who desire to pursue higher education abroad, the Rajasthan government has approved an additional budget allocation of Rs 65 crore for 2022–2023 under the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence programme.

Every year, 200 students are given free tuition at prominent foreign colleges through this programme, with 30% of seats designated for female students.

According to the programme, Rajasthani students have the chance to enrol in one of the top 150 universities and colleges in the world, such as Oxford University, Stanford University, Harvard University, California Institute of Technology, Cambridge University, Princeton University, and the University of Toronto.

Students whose families make less than Rs 8 lakh are given priority. Students can apply for the programme even if their family’s annual income is up to Rs. 25 lakh.
