| Updated: December 22, 2022 17:28

Rajasthan has established itself as the nation’s solar hub after creating 10 GW (Gigawatt) capacity solar power, according to Hamza Ariswala, president-elect of the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA).

Following IEEMA’s road show for ELECRAMA-2023, Ariswala stated at a news conference that the state was bringing in fresh investments in the renewable energy sector. “Indian industry has an important role to play as India accelerates towards Net Zero (with green and renewable energy as the primary source of energy) and enhances the quality of life of its citizens,” he said.

The most opulent hotel in the state capital of Rajasthan is where IEEMA, the apex association of the Indian electrical equipment manufacturing industry, sponsored an interactive session with senior executives of Rajasthan’s power sector coupled with a roadshow for the 15th edition of ELECRAMA.

The dates for ELECRAMA are February 18–22 at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. According to IEEM President Rohit Pathak, the theme of ELECRAMA 2023 is “Re-imagine Energy – For Sustainable Future” and will focus heavily on showcasing innovation and future technologies in many areas, including storage, green hydrogen, fuel cells, artificial intelligence, and the internet of things (IOT).

According to its chairman, Jitendra Agarwal, ELECRAMA hopes to get $6 billion worth of business inquiries from exhibitors and visitors from over 70 nations, including pavilions from Canada, France, Germany, Romania, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.

“For the industry’s growth and success, certain areas present unlimited business opportunities in the future including start-ups and new business where massive capital investment are being made i.e. railways, metro, airport, defense, smart cities, buildings, and the EV ecosystem, small, medium and micro-business should be able to participate in the global supply chain as well,” Agarwal said.
