The Snapchatters will soon have to the option to make their stories even more interesting that before. The company recently reached a deal with the NCBUniversal that will bring audion clips from hit movies and TV shows like Bridesmaids, The Office, Parks and Recreation, SNL and many more to the platform.
Along with music, Snapchatters will be also be able to add dialogues from the NCBUniversal catalogue to their Snap stories. Users who receive the snaps with the dialogues of movies, will have to option to swipe and get more information about the movie or tv shows. Furthermore, it will also show a link that would direct the user to the platform the show or the movie is available to watch.
Currently, the audio from the NBCUniverse available on Snapchat includes dialogues from “The Office”, uttered by Steve Carell’s Michael Scott; “Don’t ever, for any reason, do anything to anyone for any reason ever, no matter what.”
Others include, “What are you doing in my swamp?!” from ‘Shrek’, “We’re gonna need a bigger boat,” from ‘Jaws’, “Roads? Where we’re going, we don’t need roads” from ‘Back to the Future’, “Noyce!” from ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’, and “Say hello to my little friend!” from ‘Scarface’.
Along with NBCU, Snapchat has also made deals with the Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, Sony Music Publishing, Distrokid, Warner Chappell, Kobalt, BMG, NMPA, Merlin and Universal Music Publishing Group.
