Sonia Gandhi, a Former President of the Congress, admitted to the Ganga Ram Hospital on Wednesday. Her daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra accompanied her to the hospital. Sonia Gandhi, according to sources, has been suffering from a respiratory infection.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra, which entered Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday evening, required Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to walk seven kilometres. According to sources, Sonia Gandhi has been ill since Tuesday, which is why they returned to Delhi.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra of the Congress left Mavikalan in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, at six in the morning on Wednesday to continue their journey.

After the resumption of the yatra, Priyanka Gandhi did not, however, accompany Rahul Gandhi. Party insiders predicted that she will probably join after midday.
