TRS Hits Back At Nirmala Sitharaman On Modi Picture Controversy

| Updated: September 4, 2022 08:24

Hyderabad: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had to face embarassment and social media ire after she pulled up Kamareddy district Collector on not finding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s photo at a PDS shop.

Embarassment was because  TRS  pasted Modi’s posters on LPG cylinders. The posters put up on cooking gas cylinders carried Modi’s photographs along with the price of each cylinder Rs 1,105.

TRS leaders stressed how the price of LPG was only Rs 410 in 2014 when Modi became the Prime Minister. “You wanted pictures of Modi Ji, Here you are @nsitharaman Ji,” tweeted TRS leader Krishank Manne. He attached a video of Modi’s posters on LPG cylinders.

A day earlier, Nirmala Sitharaman had targeted and scoffed at Kamareddy district Collector Jitesh V Patil as Prime Minister’s photos were not displayed at a fair price shop.  She got angry and lamented that the Centre supplied free rice to the poor under the Prime Minister’s Garib Kalyan Yojana and yet PM’s photos did not find a place in fair price shops of Telangana.

Reacting to this, TRS working president K. T. Rama Rao stated that he was disgusted by the  Nirmala Sitharaman’s behaviour with of the District Magistrate of Kamareddy.
