There is a growing wave of enthusiasm for the Aam Aadmi Party in Gujarat, with two new members joining them on Saturday, September 18: Nationalist Congress Youth State President Bahadur Singh Parmar and Raksha Committee Chairman Piyush Kakadia. A press conference was held in Ahmedabad, in the presence of AAP General Secretary Nikhil Savani and various other leaders.
Explaining his decision, Parmar said, “The AAP is doing the work of the people. I have deiced to join them because they talk about justice for the people.” Piyush Kakadia in his turn thanked AAP state president Gopal Italia and party leader Ishudan Gadhvi.
Surprisingly in Gujarat, many leaders from other political parties and social organizations, including the Congress, are joining the Aam Aadmi Party. Nikhil Savani, a former Patidar Congress leader, who recently become the General Secretary, is part of this movement. Rumour also has it that current Acting Congress President and Patidar leader Hardik Patel will also join the AAP.
With assembly elections scheduled for 2022 in Gujarat, the AAP is ready to contest elections for all the seats of the Legislative Assembly.
