There is good news for Indians, especially students, wishing to travel to the UK.  Alex Ellis, British High Commissioner to India has said in a video message that  the visitor  visas for Indians travelling to the United Kingdom will now be allocated within 15 working days.

Indian High Commissioner to the UK, Vikram Doraiswami had earlier announced that the e-visa facility for British citizens travelling to India is set to be resumed.

The British High Commissioner to India has said that they have achieved their aim to bring the processing time of  India to Great Britain visa applications  within 15 days. They had set the goal two months ago, to achieve this milestone by the end of this year.

He however said that there would still be a few complex cases which might  take longer.

A UK Standard Visitor visa is applicable in case of visiting family or friends; business trip; vacation; and a short course of study. The UK has a big intake of student visas for the session starting in January 2023.

Terming the relations between the two countries as “the living bridge”, the envoy said  people can move between India and the UK with much greater ease.\
