Vadodara: Surya Namaskara Event Enters World Book Of Records

In a record-breaking event, more than 1500 people performed 51 Surya Namaskaras at Manjalpur Sports Complex in Vadodara on Saturday. This event happened von the second day of the 3-day Saansad Khel Spardha organised by Vadodara MP Ranjan Bhatt. This performance has entered World Book of Records.

The performance saw from participation from all age-groups, from children as young as 5-years and senior citizens as well.  It was a beautiful sight as people from different ages worship the rising sun and spread the message of healthy living and fitness.

“In the three days sporting event participants take part in different games and Surya Namaskara is one of them. On the second day more than 1500 people performed 51 Surya Namaskar which is a record feat as it is registered in World Book of Records. It is good to see most participation from females in the event. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inspired the world to do Yoga and hence we organised this Surya Namaskara performance in the Saansad Khel Spardha, where people took part in good numbers and with great enthusiasm,” said Ranjan Bhatt.

Around 15000 children, youth and elderly took part in the competition over the three days, where they participated in 12 different types of sports.
