Several revelations are being made about the suicide of Mahant Narendragiri of Prayagraj and a case has been registered by arresting his disciple Anandagiri on the basis of his suicide note. However, Anandagiri has always been in debate over the controversy. Anandagiri had been his disciple since Narendragiri was not a temple mahant. The ascetic lifestyle of Anandagiri, who is working in an akhada institution in Gujarat, is luxurious.
Anandgiri had a meeting with Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel in March 2020. During the visit, Anandgiri discussed the formation of a cow ministry and the prevention of cow slaughter. He was joined by some followers from Gujarat.

Earlier Mahant Narendra Giri, 72, was found dead inside his room at the Baghambari Math in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj on Monday evening.
