Will Spare No Accused In Latthakand Incident: Guj Home Minister

| Updated: July 30, 2022 19:54

Amid the Latthakand incident of Botad and other parts of dry Gujarat, State Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi gave his condolences to 57 families that lost their loved ones. As many victims of spurious liquor still suffer, the Gujarat government has set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the matter. The Home Minister expressed his empathy towards the situation and ordered severe punishments for the culprits of the heinous crime.

Sanghavi stated, “The investigation teams have caught 14 culprits during the act.” He also voiced his grief towards the deceased men and the victims suffering in hospitals. According to him, the SIT appointed by the Gujarat Government is capable enough to handle the case.

Further, he informed the media that the cops would soon file a charge sheet against the accused, and within no time, the case would reach the fast court.

Further, the cops will not release the accused without finding any proper investigation or details. Moreover, the government has suspended the authorities responsible for liquor prohibition. The cops with the SIT will investigate the smuggling of methanol as well.
