2022–2023: Reliance Foundation Unveils 5000 UG And 100 PG Scholarships

On the occasion of Dhirubhai Ambani’s 90th birthday and his 90th year as the founder and chairman of Reliance Industries Limited, the Reliance Foundation has announced 5000 undergraduate and 100 postgraduate scholarships for 2022–2023. 

Over the following 10 years, the Foundation will also give away 50,000 scholarships to Indian students pursuing higher education.

According to a news release from the Foundation, the Foundation will offer up to 5,000 merit-based undergraduate scholarships of up to Rs 2 lakh and up to 100 merit-based postgraduate scholarships of up to Rs 6 lakh, both for the full length of study, for the academic year 2022–23. Scholarship applications are accepted until February 14, 2023. 

Along with the scholarship, the Foundation will give the scholars the chance to join an alumni network and benefit from a supportive infrastructure.

Students who are enrolled in a first-year UG or PG programme and have household incomes under Rs 15 lakh are eligible to apply. The programme will also work to promote applications from girls and students with disabilities. 

According to the press release, students pursuing degrees in computer science, artificial intelligence, mathematics and computing, electrical and/or electronic engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, renewable and new energy, material science and engineering, and life sciences will be chosen based on merit.
