Congress Unveils ‘Hath Se Hath Jodo’ Campaign Logo

| Updated: January 21, 2023 15:37

The Congress launched the “Hath se Hath Jodo” campaign logo and an eight-page charge sheet against the incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for door-to-door distribution of campaign materials on Saturday.

While the Bharat Jodo Yatra is an ideological movement, the Haath se Haath Jodo campaign is a door-to-door electoral campaign to expose the shortcomings of the Modi government and spread the message of the Yatra to every Indian, according to Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh, who unveiled the logo.

The “Hath Se Hath Jodo” campaign, which will be organised in three phases—the first at the village and block levels, the second at the district levels, and the third at the state levels—will be launched by Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

During a press conference, Ramesh said, “The Hath se Hath Jodo campaign will take a direct aim at the PM Modi government’s failure and is strictly a political campaign. Hath se Hath Jodo may have a second or a third phase too but for now our goal is to distribute the charge sheet against the BJP along with Rahul Gandhi’s letter from door to door.”

AICC general secretary K C Venugopal, who was also present at the Hath se Hath Jodo symbol launch said, “Sure the Yatra will end on January 30, but its spirit won’t, which will be extended through the Hath se Hath Jodo campaign.”

The foot march phase of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which is currently in its last leg, is expected to end on January 29. On January 30, the Yatra will come to an end. The Indian flag will be hoisted by Rahul Gandhi at the Congress headquarters in Jammu and Kashmir and by party members at district offices around the country. A public gathering will take place that day in Srinagar at the Shere Punjab stadium.
