365 Days, One Dream: Surat’s Maya Gupta Meets MrBeast, Gets $10,000 For Charity

For 365 days, Maya Gupta kept posting videos with one goal in mind: meeting YouTube star MrBeast. But while trying to get the popular creator’s attention, the Surat-based content creator also spent the year helping people in her community. When the two finally met in October 2026, she received not just a hug from her favourite YouTuber, but also $10,000 to continue her charitable work.

Maya’s year-long campaign, called “Maya for Beast”, began on August 18, 2025. She shared her journey through daily videos on Instagram, regularly tagging MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, in the hope that he would notice her efforts.

Her persistence finally paid off on Day 365 of the challenge.

From Instagram videos to helping people on the ground

Maya’s challenge was not limited to making videos or trying to get noticed online. She also used her growing social media platform to help people who needed support.

Over the past year, she distributed meals among underprivileged children and families, gave away clothes and gifts, and helped small street vendors by buying their stock. She also provided financial assistance to vendors, using her platform to support people trying to earn a living.

These efforts became an important part of her journey. While her main goal was to meet MrBeast, her daily videos also showed how she was trying to make a difference in her own community.

MrBeast later acknowledged her efforts, saying he had seen the work she had done to feed and support people over the past year.

MrBeast notices her efforts

In September 2026, after months of repeated posts, MrBeast reportedly responded to Maya on social media. He asked for her email address and WhatsApp details, raising hopes that her long-awaited meeting might finally happen.

The meeting took place in October, on the final day of her 365-day challenge.

In an Instagram video introducing Maya, MrBeast spoke about her journey and the charitable work she had carried out. He hugged her and acknowledged the time she had spent helping people in her community.

Maya appeared visibly emotional during the meeting, which marked the end of a challenge she had followed for an entire year.

A $10,000 gift to continue her work

The meeting came with another surprise. MrBeast gifted Maya $10,000, approximately ₹9.5 lakh, asking her to use the money to continue helping people.

Rather than treating the amount as a personal reward, Maya indicated that she wanted to share it with others and continue her food distribution drives and community outreach.

The gift gave her an opportunity to take her community work further, extending the efforts she had been making throughout the challenge.

Video crosses 60 million views

The video of Maya meeting MrBeast reportedly received more than 60 million views, drawing attention from social media users around the world.

Many congratulated her for completing the challenge, while others praised her for continuing to help people while pursuing her dream.

One user commented, “Finally, didi ka sapna pura karlia.” Another wrote, “You are a good person and a hero.”

Several users also appreciated MrBeast for recognising Maya’s work and supporting her efforts to help others.

For Maya, the 365-day journey ended with the meeting she had been hoping for. But the charitable work that ran alongside her challenge is set to continue, with the $10,000 gift intended to help her reach more people.
