Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices Increase By Rs 25

| Updated: January 1, 2023 20:06

Oil marketing companies (OMC) increased the cost of commercial liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders by Rs 25 per Kg on January 1st, 2023. The 19 kg commercial cylinder will be subject to the hike starting on Sunday.

With this, the price of a commercial cylinder in Delhi is Rs 1,769 as of right now. However, the cost of domestic LPG cylinders has not increased. A 19 kg commercial cylinder will now cost Rs 1,721, Rs 1,870, and Rs 1,971 in Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai, respectively.

This follows a price cut of Rs 115.50 on commercial LPG cylinders in November 2022. In keeping with falling global energy prices, this was the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder unit’s seventh price reduction since June. OMCs typically announce changes to LPG prices at the start and middle of each month.

Prior to November, there was a fluctuation in pricing in May when it was increased. Prices for 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders have decreased by Rs 610 since June. The cost of commercial LPG cylinders was decreased as of October 1.
