A day after the state reported a decrease in daily covid cases, Tuesday saw a spike in the daily covid cases as the daily tally stood at 787. For the past few days, covid numbers in the state have fluctuated over the past 15 days.
New covid cases have marginally increased to 787 from 596 reported on Monday, a marginal increase of 191 cases within a day.
While Ahmedabad city remained the biggest contributor with 315 cases. Other major contributors include Vadodara with 44 cases, Rajkot with 53 cases, Banaskantha with 46 cases, and Mehsana with 55 cases. These five regions made up for 70% of the Covid cases recorded today.

According to Central Government data Active Cases in India,as of 19th July are 1,43,654. Whereas daily new cases in the last 24 hours India stood at 15,528. Over 87.01 crore COVID Tests conducted so far in India.
