The state on Wednesday saw a spike in the daily covid cases as the daily tally stood at 864. For the past few days, covid numbers in the state are increasing. New covid cases have increased to 864 from 787 reported on Wednesday, an increase of 77 cases within a day. The number of active cases in the state is 5099. Total of 8 people in the state are on a ventilator.
While Ahmedabad city remained the biggest contributor with 295 cases. Other major contributors include Vadodara with 65 cases, Surat with 54 cases, Mehsana with 45 cases, Patan with 38 cases, and Gandhinagar with 31 cases. These six regions made up for 70% of the Covid cases recorded today.
