Two brothers from Akhiana village in Patdi taluka of the Surendranagar district have achieved an impressive achievement in aviation.
It took place on February 6 and was titled ‘Project Prithviraj Chauhan’. It has been noticed internationally. The two brothers from Gujarat made history by flying an aircraft while being blindfolded in Miami, USA.
Parth Panchal, the eldest son of Rasikbhai Panchal, who lives in Akhiana village, is a captain in Miami, Florida, USA. His younger son Vyom Panchal is also a pilot. The two brothers took inspiration from the childhood story of Prithviraj Chauhan, who was able to shoot an arrow precisely while being blindfolded.
The elder brother, Parth Panchal, blindfolded, took the plane from the parking lot, took off from the runway, and drove the plane for an hour. Cameras were placed all around during the flight to capture the historic moment.
Captain Parth Panchal tied two blindfolds and a bag full of salt on top of it, made his younger brother sit as a safety pilot, and successfully flew a plane to Miami city for an hour.
They were accompanied by four veteran officers, including Jose, a 70-year-old American pilot with 25,000 hours of experience in flying the flight, an officer of the U.S. Department of aviation and a retired commander of the Indian air force.

- Vyom Panchal has set a world record by passing the flying examination by undergoing zero to 250 hours of commercial pilot license (FAA) training in just 70 days.
- Parth and Vyom Panchal, both brothers, have obtained a gold seal license from the American government (FAA) due to 93% of students passing as flight instructors.
- Parth Panchal has set a world record by getting an average of 98.33% in the nine pilot’s (faa-USA) exams. This world record remains intact even today.
- Parth Panchal has the experience of 11,000 hours of flying four types of planes in America.
- The two brothers obtained a certificate by passing the airbus 320 aircraft training in the first attempt.
- Parth Panchal won the gold medal at Nirma university by Karsanbhai Patel and the then chief minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi.
