A letter of acceptance was issued by the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited for the design, manufacturing, supply and commissioning of Simulators of the popularly known Bullet Train. The simulators shall be used for training purposes in the HSR Training Institute of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor in Vadodara, Gujarat. A sample track has been already installed for trying out the training at the base.
The purpose of the simulators is to help drivers, conductors, instructors and train/ rolling maintenance staff to understand the structure and working of high speed trains. The training will be provided in both ways, one to one training to drivers and conductors and collective training of driver, conductor and despatched together.
Two types of simulators are to be installed in the Training Institute at Vadodara. They are :
- Train Set Simulator for Crew Training: 1(One) set
- Simulators (classroom-type) for Driver Consoles 10(Ten) Trainee＋1(One) Instructor Console
The time duration for the supply of simulation is 28 weeks from the beginning of the contract.
