India saw a significant increase in the number of new Covid-19 infections, with 11,109 cases recorded in the last 24 hours, compared to 7,830 cases reported yesterday, as per the daily health bulletin released by the Union Health Ministry on Friday.
The active caseload accounted for 0.11 per cent of the total cases, which is 49,622 in number, as per the same source. Additionally, 6,456 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 4,42,16,583.
The daily positivity rate was 5.01 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate was 4.29 per cent. The recovery rate remained high at 98.70 per cent.
