JioCinema, a leading digital streaming platform, has announced its acquisition of digital rights to India’s Tour of West Indies 2023. The platform will live-stream the month-long series, which includes two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is, offering fans an opportunity to catch all the action.

The bilateral tour, featuring matches in various formats, is set to kick off on July 12 with the first Test taking place in Dominica, followed by the second Test in Trinidad. This Test series marks the beginning of India’s World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle. The three-match ODI series is scheduled to begin on July 27 and will be held in Barbados and Trinidad. The five-match T20I competition will commence in Trinidad on August 3, with two matches in Guyana and the final two fixtures in Florida, USA.

Following the tremendous success of the TATA IPL 2023, where JioCinema shattered records and achieved unprecedented levels of engagement and viewership, the platform aims to provide fans with an exceptional viewing experience for free. Viewers will have the option to watch the limited-overs matches in seven languages, including English, Hindi, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, making it the first time a bilateral series will be presented in such diverse language options.

“Harnessing the power of seamless streaming, JioCinema achieved astonishing benchmarks during the TATA IPL 2023. We have proven that sports are best experienced digitally by pushing the boundaries of technological capability,” stated Hursh Shrivastava, Viacom18 – Sports Head of Strategy, Partnership & Acquisitions. “With the India Tour of West Indies 2023, we will continue to offer our viewers a world-class presentation.”

During the TATA IPL 2023, JioCinema witnessed immense success, with over 1.2 billion unique viewers tuning in to watch the thrilling TATA IPL Finals, making it the most-watched digital event globally. The excitement reached its peak during the Final as JioCinema set a new world record with 32.1 million viewers concurrently watching the action-packed match between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings.
