NFT Based PUBG On Cards; Krafton And Solana Labs Announce Partnership
Krafton announced its intent to enter the blockchain gaming realm a little over a month ago, saying it would begin work with Naver Z on “a new Web 3.0 and NFT platform aimed at building an NFT metaverse platform.”
Hyungchul Park, Lead of Web 3.0 Roundtable at KRAFTON, Inc said,“KRAFTON will continuously see ways to work closely with blockchain companies like Solana Labs as we work toward establishing our Web 3.0 ecosystem,”
He further added that, “As one of the best global high-performance blockchain with strength in high speed and low fees, Solana represents the best of the Web 3.0 ecosystem and its technologies. Through this cooperation, KRAFTON will acquire the insight needed to accelerate its investment in and output of blockchain-based experiences.”
This deal comes at a time when game developers in the western world are apprehensive. Some developers are distancing themselves from blockchain gaming following a backlash from fans. Important thing to note here is that the studio hasn’t finalized which of its titles will see the blockchain functionality but currently looking at its popularity PUBG is leading the race.
