| Updated: December 28, 2021 15:58

Covid outbreak has yet again casted a dark spell over the Airline Sector as around 11,500 flights have been cancelled worldwide since last Friday. Cases are on the rise and many countries are also preparing for the ban.

Currently, a new variant of the corona virus, the growing transmission of omicron, is affecting the entire world. An estimated 3,000 flights were canceled on Monday and another 1,100 on Tuesday. Canceling such flights during the New Year is adding to the difficulties for travelers and airlines.

The threat of Omicron is currently increasing in many countries of the world. The number of people infected with the new variant is increasing in many countries, including the United States and Britain. Corona cases are growing rapidly in some parts of Europe and America after which many flights are being canceled as part of precaution.

It is to be noted that most people out vacationing for Christmas and New Year’s, however, are faced with difficulties due to the cancellation of the flights.
