Akanksha Dubey, a well-known Bhojpuri model-turned-actor, was discovered dead in a hotel on Sunday in Varanasi. The police suspect the 25-year-old committed suicide.
The body has been sent for a post-mortem, according to the police.
“The prima facie report suggests it might be a case of suicide. But we have to wait for the post-mortem report to be sure of the cause of the death,” a senior police officer said.
In the room, Akanksha Dubey was discovered hanging. Police were contacted by the hotel staff.
She had expertise in Bhojpuri films, music, and music videos. On Instagram, Akanksha Dubey had a sizable following, and her videos were well-liked.
