Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved a financial proposal of Rs 736 crore for interest-free crop loans to the farmers of the state.
Farmers who repay the long-term agriculture cooperative loan on time will receive a 5 per cent interest subsidy, according to the statement. CM Ashok Gehlot has given his approval for the grant proposal. He has also granted permission to provide housing loan subsidies to farmers who have built houses on their farms.
Farmers who have repaid their long-term agricultural cooperative loans on time since April 1 2014, will receive a 5 per cent interest subsidy from the state government each year. In addition, from the financial year 2023-24, every year farmers who have taken housing loans to build houses on their farms will be given a five per cent interest subsidy.
In the budget 2023-24, CM Ashok Gehlot announced an interest-free crop loan distribution scheme and interest subsidy for farmers. Also, the state government will provide 35,000 quintals of high-quality seeds free of cost to more than 1.25 lakh farmers of the state for Rs 15 crore.
