Rajasthan: PM Modi To Virtually Address Attendees Of Jaipur Mahakhel Today

| Updated: February 5, 2023 13:27

The Prime Minister’s Office stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would use video conferencing to address Jaipur Mahakhel attendees. Since 2017, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, a member of the Lok Sabha representing Jaipur Rural, has organised the Jaipur Mahakhel.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the participants of ‘Jaipur Mahakhel’ on 5 February at 1 PM via video conferencing,” the PM office said. The Mahakhel, which this year is centred on the Kabaddi competition, began on January 12 in honour of National Youth Day.

More than 450-gram panchayats, municipalities, and wards from all 8 Legislative Assembly areas of the Jaipur Rural Lok Sabha constituency, totalling more than 6400 youths and athletes, participated. “The organisation of Mahkhel provides an opportunity for the youth of Jaipur to showcase their sporting talent and also motivates them to take up sports as a career option,” the statement read.

In addition, on Monday, PM Modi will visit Karnataka to launch India Energy Week (IEW). Officials claim that IEW, which will take place from February 6 to 8, is intended to highlight India’s burgeoning expertise as a leader in the energy transition.

Leaders from academia, government, and the traditional and alternative energy sectors will participate in the event to talk about the opportunities and problems that a responsible energy transition brings. More than 30 Ministers from different countries will attend.

There will be more than 30,000 attendees, 1,000 exhibitors, and 500 speakers present to talk about the prospects and challenges facing India’s energy future. The Prime Minister will take part in a roundtable discussion with top oil and gas executives during the event. He will also start a number of projects related to renewable energy.
