President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the 18th National Scout and Guide Jamboree, at Rohat in the Pali district of Rajasthan today. The President reached Jaipur yesterday on a two-day visit to the state.
Rajasthan is hosting Jamboree after 66 years. Over 35,000 scouts and guides from all over the country will participate in this 7-day mega-event. A smart jamboree village has been set up with all the facilities on a two hundred twenty hectare area at Nimblee village 3500 tents have been erected at the venue.
The Indian Airforce Surya Kiran Aerobatics Team will perform as the event’s main attraction. Aside from that, the BSF Camel Squad will perform a demonstration. Throughout the event, various competitions and activities will be held. The National Scout Jamboree will provide a forum for young scouts to share their customs, food habits, handicrafts, and religious practices.
On the second day of her visit to Rajasthan, President Draupadi Murmu mediated at the Gyan Sarovar of Brahmakumari Santhan in Mount Abu. She will also pay visit to Brahmakumari Santhan’s Pandav Bhavan. Later, she will leave for Pali from Abu Road’s Manpur airstrip.
