| Updated: January 5, 2023 14:08

Rajasthan school winter holidays are extended till January 7, 2023. All schools in Rajasthan’s Jaipur will remain closed till Jan 7 due to the cold wave. Rajasthan is one among the many states of India which are facing immense temperature dip. Rajasthan schools winter vacations were announced till December 5 but as the weather condition is worsening the district administration decided to extend the holidays.

However, the official notice said  that school timings for teachers and any scheduled exam will remain unchanged.

According to the Rajasthan weather updates issued by India Meteorological Department (IMD), Rajasthan will be witnessing temperature dip and dense fog for the next few days. Considering this, the district authorities are announcing to close the schools. The official orders make it mandatory for all schools to follow the orders.

Earlier, Winter vacations have prompted schools in Rajasthan to be closed. According to Jagdish Meena, the District Education Officer for Jaipur, these holidays are set, but if the cold wave intensifies, the appropriate decision would be made. The schools will resume on January 6, 2023, after being shuttered through January 5, 2023.

Other than Rajasthan, the cold wave has also gripped states like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana. Schools are announced to remain closed in various districts of these states as well.
