Send Pics of Damaged Govt Schools; AAP will Show them to PM – Italia

| Updated: April 15, 2022 15:26

Aam Aadmi Party State President, Gopal Italia, while addressing a press conference, said that his party had taken the situation of schools in the state very seriously and has launched a campaign regarding the same. The party has asked public to take photos of government schools that need repairs and renovation and send it to certain phone number. The party will send the photo to the Prime Minister through media and social media, highlighting the government’s failure.

Italia further said that following Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia’s visit to Bhavnagar, the party had already started renovation of schools in the city. Sisodia had slammed Gujarat Education Minister Jitu Vaghani for the poor condition of schools in his own constituency. He had shared photos and videos showing that the government schools needed repairs and did not have proper seating arrangements in classes.

Furthermore, Italia said that the purpose of this campaign is to be able to show the full reality to PM Modi. He said, the Prime Minister is scheduled to visit Gujarat soon and the local leaders could provide misinformation by showing him handful of well maintained schools in the state. AAP would show the pictures submitted by the general public so that PM Modi could see the real scenario.

Talking about Hardik Patel, Italia confirmed that he had extended an official invitation to Gujarat Congress leader to join AAP. This news comes amid speculation that Patel might quit Congress party after having expressed discontentment towards the party’s leadership.
