Vadodara Congress workers sat at the parking stand of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation to register their protest over the facilities used by the ruling party officials against the GPMC (Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporations) Act.
They said that they will run a ‘Pol Khol’ programme in coming days to expose the corruption of ruling party.
They submitted a memorandum to the Municipal Commissioner demanding recovery of money and luxurious vehicles assigned to the ruling party.
On Friday, Congress city president Rutvij Joshi, leader of opposition in VMC, Ami Ravat and other leaders along with party members raised slogans against the violation of GPMC Act by the ruling party. They demanded recovery of the money which belongs to the people.
“As per Section 19-A of GPMC Act, only Mayor is allowed discretionary grant. The luxurious cars they are using should be take back. We will go the legal way in case no action is taken in this matter,” said Ami Ravat.
