The last Friday of 2022 seems to have brought with it a hattrick of sad unfoldings. “Black Friday” as it is now being labelled, began with the midnight news of Brazilian football legend having breathed his last at Sao Paulo, late Thursday night. While India was still sleeping, Heeraba, PM Modi’s mother passed away at the U.N. Mehta Hospital at Ahmedabad.
Though admitted to the hospital on Wednesday morning after she complained of uneasiness breathing on Tuesday night, Heeraba finally departed at 3:30 am Friday. She was in her centenary year.

The moment cricketer Rishabh Pant’s car crashed into a divider has been retrieved from a security camera. Chilling footage from Uttarakhand showed the Mercedes-AMG GLE43 Coupe hitting the divider at high speed. His vehicle caught fire following the collision near Roorkee and he had to break the windscreen of the car to escape.
The cricketer suffered cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his knee and several other injuries on his wrist, legs, and back, according to an official statement.
