Following complaints of Covid19 cases in Punjab schools, Gujarat government has deferred the idea of opening up classes from standard 6 to 8 till after Independence Day
The Kerala government announced that no mass gatherings for festivals will be permitted in the state during Onam, Muharram, Janmashtami, Ganesh Chathurthi and Durga Pooja as they could turn into super spreaders events, causing surge in Covid-19 cases. The order will come into effect from August 12.
In order to detect Covid-19 cases, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will launch a programme involving doctors making door-to-door visits as per the Karnataka Revenue Minister R Ashoka.
