Chinese Manjha Causes South Korean Man’s Death

| Updated: December 26, 2022 12:05

After the canopy of his paraglider allegedly got entangled in Chinese manjha (thread) that is used to fly kites, a 51-year-old South Korean national fell to his death near Kadi town of Gujarat’s Mehsana district on Saturday.

Shin Byeongmoon came to Vadodara a few days ago to meet his friend Chang Hyu Jeong, a South Korean national. The two went to Kharaghoda on Friday and then to their friend Prakash Patel’s house in Mehsana’s Visatpura, who convinced them to try paragliding in the area.

They began paragliding around 5pm on Saturday and within an hour, Byeongmoon’s paraglider had crashed to the ground. Visatpura residents found him lying unconscious. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
