CM Bhupendra Patel Meets PM in Delhi, Kejriwal Senses Early Polls

| Updated: April 30, 2022 20:30

Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi and the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), speculated on whether the BJP intended to dissolve the Gujarat Legislative Assembly and hold elections in the state the following week. This comes after PM Narendra Modi met with Gujarat BJP leaders on Saturday.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal took to twitter to question Gujarat Government. He said, “Is the BJP going to dissolve the Gujarat Legislative Assembly and announce the Gujarat elections next week? So afraid of AAP?”

Arvind Kejriwal’s tweet comes on the heels of Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosting a meeting of Gujarat BJP leaders at his residence on Saturday, April 30. Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended the meeting, as did Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, BJP State President CR Paatil, State Law Minister Rajendra Trivedi, and Gujarat Chief Secretary K.Kailashnathan.
