A team of the Army, fire brigade and health officials, all, rushed to the rescue of Shivam, a two year old boy who fell into a deep borewell. He was playing at a farm in Dudapur village, Surendranagar when the mishap happened. Both of his parents worked as laborers.
It is said that he got trapped at a depth of 20-25 feet, according to Surendranagar administration officials.
As soon as the district administration got to know about the incident, they alerted the team of National Disaster Response force and local disaster management cell. The local administration sought help from the army, AMC and the police.
The child thankfully did not have to stay trapped in for long, as he fell at around 8.00 P.M and was rescued by 10.45 P.M itself. The army, local administration staff, the police as well as the villagers; all worked in tandem to accomplish the feat
The boy was further taken to a government hospital in Dhrangadhra city, from where he was taken to the district civil hospital for further treatment. The child’s condition is now stable and safe.
