Gujarat on Sunday reported 644 new cases of COVID-19, taking the overall tally to 12,41,310, with the recovery of 500 patients and zero death. A total of 12,27,001 patients have died due to corona, while a total of 10,954 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus in the state so far.
If we look at the details of the total number of patients in the state, there are currently 4776 active cases. Out of which seven patients are on the ventilator. While 4769 patients are stable. Now the recovery rate from corona has come down to 98.73 per cent. 268 cases have been reported in Ahmedabad Corporation. 70 cases have been reported in Surat Corporation, 32 in Vadodara Corporation, 23 in Bhavnagar Corporation, 15 in Gandhinagar Corporation, 5 in Rajkot Corporation, and 2 in Jamnagar Corporation and 1 in Junagadh Corporation.
Going district-wise, 36 cases have been reported in Mehsana, 20 in Surat, 19 in Patan, 17 in Kutch, 16 in Gandhinagar, 16 in Rajkot, 14 in Vadodara, 09 in Bhavnagar, 09 in Devbhoomi Dwarka, 09 in Valsad, 08 in Amreli, 08 in Aravalli, 08 in Bharuch, 08 in Surendranagar, 07 in Anand, 04 in Ahmedabad, 04 in Kheda, 04 in Navsari, 03 in Porbandar, 03 in Sabarkantha, 02 in Morbi, 01 in Banaskantha, 01 in Dahod, 01 in Junagadh and 01 in Tapi.
If we talk about the patients who have just been discharged, 254 patients have been discharged in Ahmedabad Corporation. 76 patients have been cured in Surat Corporation, 17 in Gandhinagar Corporation, 04 in Rajkot Corporation and 04 in Jamnagar Corporation. Whereas Mehsana 31, Surat 28, Patan 03, Kutch 09, Gandhinagar 04, Rajkot 04, Vadodara 12, Valsad 13, Amreli 09, Bharuch 04, Surendranagar 02, Ahmedabad 05, Kheda 06, Navsari 08, Porbandar 04, Morbi 02, Dang In TAPI 01 and 01 patient have been cured.
As far as vaccination is concerned, a total of 45,912 vaccine doses have been given in the state till 5 pm today. The government is also struggling hard on the vaccination front. In the state, 326 people above the age of 18 years have been given the first dose of the vaccine and 846 have been given the second dose vaccine. Of the 15-17-year-olds, 38 received the first dose of the vaccine and 153 received the second dose the vaccine. While 6,110 people have been given a cohort dose.
Among 12-14-year-olds, 904 received the first dose of the vaccine and 516 received the second dose. 37,019 precautionary doses have been given to people in the age group of 18-59. A total of 11,24,97,292 vaccine doses have been given so far.
