Kejriwal Accuses BJP Leaders Of Being Afraid Of Free Electricity

| Updated: May 27, 2022 18:03

AAP National Convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, strived for an answer from the Bharatiya Janata Party. On Friday, Kejriwal pointed fingers at BJP leaders for being scared of his claim to provide free electricity in Gujarat. The Delhi CM took a toll on BJP Gujarat State President, CR Paatil, for bashing the free power supply scheme in Delhi. He said, “You need to end corruption to provide free electricity.”

On Thursday, the Gujarat BJP Chief, Paatil, warned the people against being soft-soaped by some political leaders who offer freebies. He also informed the public that freebies prove harmful to the economy and ruin the state. On May 26, Paatil addressed a crowd after inaugurating the South Gujarat Medical Education and Research Institute in Surat.

Later, Arvind Kejriwal gave a reply to Paatil’s comments on the free power supply. In his tweet, the Delhi CM said, “Paatil Sahib, your ministers get free electricity, isn’t it right? If I give free electricity to the public, how much trouble do you have?” Further, he second line of the tweet said, “There is corruption in the Gujarat government. You can save a lot of money if you end corruption. You can provide free electricity like Delhi and Punjab.”

Earlier this month, the AAP leader organised a rally in Rajkot and addressed a gathering. During his speech, he promised Gujarat better schools and hospitals. He also mentioned free pilgrimage for senior citizens to various religious places. Kejriwal asked Gujarat for one chance to transform and enhance the state.

The Chief Minister of Delhi accused the BJP of failure on multiple fronts even after twenty-seven years. The Aam Aadmi Party recently conducted the Parivartan Yatra in poll-bound Gujarat.
