Rajasthan: Govt To Begin Inflation Relief Camp From April 24

| Updated: April 14, 2023 18:16

The Rajasthan government has announced the establishment of an “inflation relief camp” to provide relief to its people from the country’s rising inflation. The camp aims to provide the benefits of public welfare schemes to all eligible residents of the state.

In a State Council of Ministers meeting held on Wednesday under the leadership of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, the details of the camp were discussed, with the ministers stating that it would help alleviate the burden of inflation on the common man and the deprived sections.

According to the meeting, the two-day camps will be organized in every gram panchayat and urban ward between April 24 and June 30, with the state government being accountable, transparent, and sensitive. Eligible beneficiaries will be issued guarantee cards or amended acceptance orders on the spot after registering in ten schemes. It is mandatory to register in the camps to benefit from the schemes.

Ward-wise camps will be organized in the 11,283-gram panchayats with villages, and in the 7,500 wards with cities. Furthermore, the district administration will set up 2,000 permanent dearness relief camps at government hospitals, gas agencies, bus stands, major markets, shopping malls, railway stations, district collectorate, panchayat samiti, municipal and other government offices or public places.
