Actor Ranveer Singh has received best actor award for Kabir Khan biographical feature 83 at Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2022. The actor has shared the news on his official twitter handle.
Dadasaheb Phalke is considered as a father of Indian cinema. The award named after his legacy is considered one of the most prestigious awards among film fraternity. This year, the best actor award was bagged by Ranveer Singh for his film 83 in which he portrayed the role of Legendary Cricketer and former Indian Captain Kapil Dev. The film is a biographical reconstruction of the glorious event of India winning the World Cup under the captaincy of Kapil Dev.
Overwhelmed by the award, Ranveer singh has shared a video of him thanking the Jury of Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival.
Along with Ranveer singh, actor Sidharth Malhotra was also awarded the prestigious award for his film Shershah.
