Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday mocked his predecessor, Vasundhara Raje, after she denied any collusion with him. Last week, BJP leader Raje dismissed claims of collusion with Gehlot as false and said that “milk and lemon juice do not go together”.
While in Bikaner, Gehlot spoke with reporters and claimed that his administration had continued the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project and other BJP-led plans.
“We do not stop their schemes but our (previous Congress regime) schemes were stopped by the former government (BJP dispensation) and this is the difference between ‘milk’ and ‘lemon’,” Gehlot said.
The senior Congress leader also emphasised the various projects, plans, and initiatives of the state government and exuded confidence that the Congress would win the upcoming Assembly elections and re-take power. Raje stated, last week, that a lie was being spread as part of a conspiracy.
During a visit to the Jambheshwar temple in Suratgarh town of the Sriganganagar district, she had asked, “Can milk and lemon juice ever mix?”
